Exposures if you leave early

Not scored, and often decisive: the non-compete, call schedule, partnership track, and the people. Have a physician contract attorney read the document before you sign.

What this assumes
  • Cash compensation each year is base plus productivity bonus (max of zero and expected wRVUs minus threshold, times the conversion factor). Signing bonus and relocation count once.
  • Employer match is valued at face as a percentage of base. CME is counted at face. Health, disability, and life benefits are not scored; compare them separately.
  • State income tax is your entered effective rate applied to cash compensation. Federal tax is the same for both offers and is left out.
  • PSLF value is added in full to a qualifying offer. Tail coverage and signing-bonus repayment appear as exposures, not deductions, because they depend on leaving.
