Privacy Policy
Physician Financial Advisors (“we”) publishes this website for education. This policy explains what information the site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. For clients, Northwestern Mutual’s privacy notices, linked below, also apply.
What we collect
- Information you send us. If you use the contact form or request the checklist, we receive what you enter: your name, email address, career stage, message, and the topics you selected on the page. Please do not send account numbers, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive personal information through the forms.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) to operate and secure the site.
- Analytics. TODO: keep this bullet only if analytics is turned on. If enabled, we use a website analytics service to understand which pages are read. IP addresses are anonymized where the service allows. We do not use advertising trackers.
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to us.
How we use it
- To respond to your message or schedule a conversation.
- To send the checklist you requested and, if you asked for it, notices when educational materials are updated. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To operate, secure, and improve the site.
- To meet recordkeeping and supervisory obligations that apply to financial professionals, which may require retaining communications for a period set by regulation.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for third-party marketing. Information may be processed by service providers that help us run the site: our hosting and form-processing provider (Netlify), our email provider, and, if enabled, our analytics provider. We may also disclose information when required by law, regulation, or legal process.
Northwestern Mutual, its subsidiaries and affiliates may review and retain communications sent through this site or by email for quality assurance and regulatory compliance purposes. Northwestern Mutual’s privacy practices, including its customer privacy notice, are described in its privacy notices, which govern any client relationship. California residents can review Northwestern Mutual’s CCPA privacy policy, including how to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
Cookies
The site does not set cookies for advertising. Your browser may store small preferences locally so the page works as expected. If analytics is enabled, the analytics service may set its own cookies; you can block them with your browser settings without affecting the site.
Your choices
- Email us at stratton.grandy@nm.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask that it be deleted, subject to the retention rules described above.
- Unsubscribe from any email using the link in the message.
- Use the site without submitting any form; every page is available without an account.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, which is one reason we ask you not to send sensitive details through the forms.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date above.
